We’ve reported before on real-world Halo creations, but this one certainly takes the cake. Being about as accurate as a fake energy sword can possibly be, this replica recreation actually has real blades, though the extent of their sharpness isn’t exactly detailed on the website. The tempered steel sword looks to be perfect for all the live action role-players out there looking to step up their fantasies a notch and get rid of their homemade cardboard plasma swords. Strangest of all, the thing’s base price is less than that of a full priced 360 game …

The picture above is to make sure everyone knows a certain
Batman: The Movie released this week is the 1966 production with Adam West, and NOT the 1989 Burton
production. This is the campy and hilarious comedy that was never meant to be taken seriously, so make sure you know what you are buying. With that being said, here are the rest of this week’s Blu-ray releases:
There’s quite a few award winners here in the mix; Gangs of New York has Oscar winner Martin Scorsese pairing up with a post-Titanic Leonardo DiCaprio and the Daniel Day-Lewis, In the Line of Fire stars Clint Eastwood in a disturbingly effective thriller and furious Men is a series that has rack up a few Golden Globes. If you are into Korn (pre-religious conversion and before Head left) or John Mayer, their live concerts on Blu-ray are natural must-haves.
What to ignore at all costs this week: Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns, Vantage Point

Audience Q&A
Q: Do you plan to keep the 4/5 man typical group size or will you design for much larger groups?
A: Group size isn’t a technical restriction, but a gameplay one. Smaller groups are better due to the camera restriction. We haven’t really decided but we’ll focus on whatever gives the best experience, that’ll be 4 or maybe 5 person parties.
Q: Will you increase inventory size?
A: We haven’t decided. We’re improving the inventory system and it’ll be easier to trade items between your characters or other players. We’ll pick a size appropriate to gameplay.
Q: There are a lot of WoW players and Diablo II players, which audience are you aiming at?
A: We haven’t a particular aim. We’re making the game for people who love Diablo, and there’s plenty of room for both WoW and Diablo, we’ve no intention to play one game against the other.

While the long awaited sequel to the classic franchise has been confirmed for Nintendo’s WiiWare download service for some time now, there was still quite a bit of speculation that that game would be releasing on more than just a Nintendo platform.
Mega Man 9 was originally revealed via an OFLC ratings board leak, and was listed there as a multiplatform release. But this was taken with a grain of salt as the OFLC has been known to list things as multiplatform which ened up not being so. Now apparently, someone over at arstechnica has gotten thier hands on a Capcom E3 roster list which seems to confirm that the blue bomber will be making his way to all download services, XBLA included. Since Capcom has been relativly good to the Live arcade in the past (Rocketmen, Commando 3, SFII, etc), we think it’s safe to say that E3 will bring the official reveal of the 8-bit wonder.

A lot has happened since we last saw him over a decade ago — apparently, he now has a Wii, a wife, and … a son?! Bring your memories of the smart aleck character past the post break for Nester’s return!.

Some good deals here for those looking to expand their PSP collections.
Our pick? Viewtiful Joe. If you’re looking for some mini-games, you may be interested in WTF. MLB and NBA are both rather solid sports titles for the handheld. Just make sure you ignore Gangs of London at all costs.
