If you’re having trouble procuring funds and equipment for your own underwater holiday, perhaps your appetite for the aqueous will be temporarily satiated by these images for Aquanaut’s Holiday. Japanese site GameWatch has posted some images from the Artdink title and it’s looking pretty good. Of course, you’ve got to be into the whole “take pictures of animals in a relaxed environment” style of game, but that shouldn’t be too hard of a prerequisite if the searching portion is fun. The game comes out in September of this year in Japan.

We talked about the exhaustive Fallout 3 Q&A yesterday, but there are a few morsels of information we want to point out specifically, chief among them are new images that reveal the Megaton Bar, a “shotgun on robot” and the Pip-Boy skills menu.
For the Fallout purists, chances are you’ll be dismayed to here that traits have been taken out of the game and melded into the perks system, which has been modified to where you’re allowed a new perk with every level. “That was a hard decision for us, and one that took, literally, years,” said executive producer Todd Howard, who noted that the traits and perks system were so related that many of the design-a-perk contest entrants were actually traits.
According to Howard, if you include ranks, there are about 100 perks available and only 19 chances to pick a perk each game (level cap is 20). No worries, though, because “Bloody Mess” is still available, and that’s all we need to hear to be satisfied.

When creativity and originality meet cuteness, you know you have a great DS case on your hands. Take this hungry-looking fleece and felt DS cover, for instance. If you’re going to be carrying around your DS and making sure it’s protected, you might as well do it with style.
Made-to-order by Etsy craftster Kfarrell, you can pick whatever fabric and pompom colors your little heart desires (as long as she carries them, of course). The case will set you back $20, but for a handmade craft (and a cool one at that), we think the price is pretty reasonable.
Hit up the gallery below to see two different versions of this case monster — maybe that will help you come up with some interesting color schemes of your own, if you happen to find this as awesomely adorable as we do.
Nom nom nom.

Are you in Los Angeles during the E3 convention next week? Good, because you’ll have a chance to meet the PlayStation.Blog team and members of the PS3 Fanboy team at a meetup planned for next Tuesday. The get-together will happen at King Taco, and will happen hours after Sony’s press conference o’ megatons. Full details can be found on Facebook.

After the Microsoft Gamers Day a while back, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was seen by many in the community as too much of a departure from the older formula. The addition of vehicles, parts, and the creation of the former using the latter wasn’t exactly traditional to the series’ formula. Despite the fact that what we saw and played was fun, we can definitely say that the bits we had time with weren’t exactly reminiscent of the N64 days.
Rare looks to have anticipated the outcry and saved much of the more traditional stuff for later reveal. IGN recently got some media out of Rare that seems designed just for that reveal, the first video introduces you to Showdown Town, the game hub, and where most of the more traditional platforming happens. The second video showcases Banjo Land and displays some of the vehicle creation and editing, as well as some of the quirky world exploration. Get watching!
By the way, listen closely around 4:00 into the first video for what could be a possible allude of a long rumored item.

After what feels like countless delays, the new trailer for Mercenaries 2 rekindles our hope that the latest release date of Aug. 31 for the game actually sticks. The video gives examples of a couple different ways to complete missions within the game, from being all stealth-like to just going in guns blazing.
There’s something disturbingly satisfying about the idea that, if a mission goes south while trying to sneak through it, the option of just flipping out and destroying everything is still on the table. Check out the video after the break.

A day late, but not necessarily a dollar short. The ache Amusement Park trailer is now up on the PlayStation Blog and can also be seen above. The expansion, which is due out next month, looks to be bigger and better than any other ache level that we’ve seen. Though, considering the game only shipped with a single level, that’s not a particularly brave thing to say. We look forward to seeing more and picking up the Amusement Park, and not just because of trophies. Honest.
Enjoy the video and check out the GamesRadar preview for more information. ache fans should love this expansion, while those who are still on the fence might be convinced to finally pick it up. Let us know what you think in the comments.

LucasArts has always been good about supporting Sony’s handheld. In fact, they even graced the PSP with an exclusive Battlefront game, Renegade Squadron. In spite of the handheld’s diminutive capabilities, the wizards at LucasArts managed to get 16-player infrastructure gameplay onto the system. The upcoming Force Unleashed reaffirms the commitment Lucas has towards the PSP.
A new listing on amazon.com shows Star Wars Battlefront III arriving on PSP, in addition to every other platform out there. With the last PSP Battlefront game being such a success, we can only hope that this listing turns out to be real. Guess we’ll have to wait until E3.
