Next Xbox LIVE Update officially dated, will add Facebook, Twitter

Even though the date was unofficially announced last month, it’s always nice to get an official confirmation – the next Xbox LIVE update, which will add Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and Zune video functionality to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 online content delivery service, will become available on November 17th (Tuesday next week).

If the rumours are true, and Facebook is indeed coming to the PlayStation Network as well, this official announcement is sure to spur Sony into action, forcing them to scramble to get the social networking service on their online offering, too.
