After over a month of weak PSN support (in terms of PSP content) SCEA has come through this week. Four full games are available to purchase, including two PSP versions of classic PS3 dual-stick shooters. Both are definitely worth a purchase. Mercury is a pretty fun physics-based puzzler, so if you've got the dosh, go for all three. Now all we need is Loco Roco 2 and we're set. Here's the full release list:

Archer Maclean's Mercury full game ($9.99)

Brain Challenge full game ($9.99)

Super Stardust Portable full game ($9.99)

Everyday Shooter full game ($9.99)

Ben 10 Alien Force "Making Of" trailer (free)

We've seen it in action and can attest to the fact that, yes, it actually looks like this on 360 and PS3 (though it will also be hitting PC).

The video features a couple of elements that we were especially impressed by. The first is a visual nuance, but one that speaks to the effort being put into the polishing of the final game. In the segment where Riddick hangs from a pipe and moves along it, hand over hand, there wasn't one iota of clipping - no "hand through wrist" glitching, nada. The look of the game is extremely solid.

The new gameplay mechanics are impressive as well. The half-man, half-weapon characters in this trailer are "drones" - cyborgs created by the Dark Athena crew from the hapless passengers of ships they've raided. Riddick can kill these enemies and use them as human shields, while using the gun grafted to their arm to shoot. As you'd expect from a real body, it's difficult to push it forward, but dragging it's a snap (which factors into overall strategy). It's also possible to control these guys from a remote terminal, hence the red-hued POV you catch at one point during the footage.
Riddick comes out of hiding in new Dark Athena video originally appeared on Joystiq on Thu, 04 Dec 2008 16:35:00 EST.

SCEE president David Reeves has revealed that internal Sony numbers indicate the PlayStation 3 is "300,000 units ahead of Xbox 360" in the PAL territories. This is in response to Microsoft claims that the 360 is outselling the PS3 in Europe. Note that both statements can be true: the 360 could be outselling the PS3 in the recent months but the total tally would show that Sony's console is still ahead.

Furthermore, Reeves disclosed to MCVUK that there are no price cuts planned for the near future. "No we are not going to go down in price; neither are we going to go down in price on PS3 in spring time either." This echoes what SCEE told Eurogamer late last month. "As soon as we got the manufacturing price down on PSOne we lowered the price. Same with PS2. But we're not doing that on PS3 -- that's not the model, even if people are expecting it." Read his full statement here.
Reeves: PS3 is '300,000 units ahead of Xbox 360' in PAL territories originally appeared on PS3 Fanboy on Thu, 04 Dec 2008 16:00:00 EST.

But we're not doing that on PS3 -- that's not the model, even if people are expecting it." Have you be cursed with the world's heaviest feet? Do you abandon footprints in cement? Do you go through Rock Band or Guitar Hero bass pedals like tissue paper? If you answered yes to the third question, Nyko has your solution, the Metal Pedal. The pedal is compatible with Guitar Hero: World Tour as well as both the original Rock Band and Rock Band 2 and is metal plated to stand up to your torturous kicking. Unfortunately, the Metal Pedal isn't hitting stores until January 2009, so you'll have to wait a bit before you can fork over the $20 price tag. Of course, as Joystiq notes, you could always try the DIY alternative, the Pedal Metal.

Now, if you answered yes to the first two questions, well, you're on the wrong website.
