Still undecided? Here are some more PSP Digital Comic samplers

If you’re on the fence about Sony’s upcoming PSP Digital Comics service, the PlayStation UK blog has a few more sampler comics to decide whether the feature piques your interest. Available for lucky users in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are two sampler comics, featuring the service’s highly touted Autoflow feature — which mimics the way your eyes read a page. Following the release of the PSP’s 6.20 firmware, PlayStation released comic samples of Transformers: All Hail Megatron and Aleister Arcane.

Free sample first-issues of Star Trek: Enterprise Experiment and Astro Boy: The Movie Adaptation are available until December 16. In order to grab your sample, make sure to first download the Comic App via the “Extras” section of the XMB (or through this link) for your PSP and use the redemption codes available on PlayStation’s UK blog. Star Trek D-A-C gets new ships, modes, major online fix

Paramount has announced that a free update is now available for the Xbox 360 version of Star Trek D-A-C. The update adds two new ships to the game, the missile cruiser and the support frigate.

The missile cruiser packs heavy, long range attacks, while the support frigate can heal friendly units and destroy escape pods. A new single-player survival mode has also been added as well. The online portion has been updated with more options, like configuring bot AI and the number of points needed to win.

Probably the most important addition, however, is host migration. This will automatically switch hosts if the current host decides to quit — rather than simply dropping everyone from the game. Considering we were dropped several times even in the trial version, that’s probably a good addition.

New movie-themed Elite bundles for the UK

VideoGamer.com is reporting that a supplement in this week’s issue of MCV is advertising two new Xbox 360 Elite bundles. Both bundles are themed around recent movie releases, specifically Star Trek and Transformers 2. The Star Trek bundle comes with an extra controller, a copy of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek stored on a USB drive — shaped like the Star Fleet logo — as well as 800

with which to buy “Star Trek PDLC.” Let’s just hope you don’t have to waste those points on Star Trek D-A-C. A Transformers 2 bundle is in the works as well, featuring an extra controller, a copy of the movie on a Bumblebee-shaped USB drive and the Transformers 2 game.

Release date, pricing, and the size of the included hard drive (120GB or “Super Elite” 250GB) are not specified in the ad. However, as MCV is a UK magazine, it’s possible these are only destined for that region. We’d be hard-pressed to tell potential buyers which one bundle is the better but, but we will say that only one of them goes where no one has gone before. And the other one is Transformers.
